Job Summary
We are looking for skilled, personable Bartenders to join Grain and get matched with hiring bars and restaurants across Austin. As a Bartender, you'll build drinks accurately and quickly, manage the bar during a rush, and create an experience that keeps guests coming back. On Grain, your bar experience and coworker verifications build a profile that follows you from job to job, so Austin operators can see exactly how you work behind the bar before they ever meet you.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve drinks accurately, from classic cocktails to house specials
Take orders and process payments using POS systems
Check IDs and follow all responsible alcohol service practices
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
Upsell drinks and specials to enhance the guest experience
Manage bar volume during peak hours while maintaining quality and pace
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
Qualifications
Previous bartending experience required; craft cocktail or high-volume experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, wine, and beer
Comfortable with POS systems
Excellent multitasking and time management skills
Basic math skills for handling payments
Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and food safety standards
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
